Anna Claros from Nintai Aikido in Rhode Island took and created the following photo gallery from the Cape Cod Aikido Friendship Seminar. She did a spectacular job. http://www.nintaistudios.com/ is the web address for their site. They are wonderful people and do a great work with a camera. Please keep them in mind if you have an event you need quality pictures to hold the memories.

When you look up the word friendship in the dictionary, there could have been a picture of the Cape Cod Aikido Friendship Seminar next to that word. Saturday May 30, thirty one students of Aikido gathered at the YMCA of Cape Cod for 6-plus hours of Aikido. There were instructors there from Ellsworth Maine to Johnston Rhode Island.
Ki Society, Iwama, Aikikai and ASU were all represented. The one thing that I heard the most after the seminar was over was that it is all different, yet it is all th…

Aikido schools are different because of the focus, experience and training of the primary instructors or the culture that develops from them. Some schools can be primarily focused on precise choreography, others on "street applications", others on aerobic or flowing movements, and some other…

- Is your ukeme feeling too rigid or floppy?!
- Do you think that your ikkyo works just fine?!
- Frustrated that your sankyo only works with a few people?!
- Are you thinking, doing, or talking a lot on the mat?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, maybe you could use a tune-up on the basics!
What is it?
Come to this 5 hour seminar where Sensei Gleason will cover Basic Techniques. Students will also be preparing for afternoon kyu testing, which is an intense experience in it's ow…

I am in the process of organizing an Aikido Friendship Seminar on Cape Cod. The date is Saturday May 30. From 9:00 am till 5:00 pm. My goal is to get Aikido dojos together to share ideas and practice together. I am asking that an instructor from each dojo run the show for 45 minutes to an hour depending on how many participate.
So far the response has been great. Shobu Aikido of Cape Cod...Aikido of Provincetown....Massachusetts Ki Society....South Coast Aikido....and some dojos from Rhode Isla…

"How'd it go?" you ask.
"Interesting..." is the answer as often as "Different..." or even other…
